she was trying to escape she was just going against someone with legit jiu jitsu. If you try and just stand up against someone like that you pretty much always give up position. Her ground defense was honestly good, she totally neutralized any threat from maia and landed ground and pound any chance she got.

yep .. thought so ..I was surprised by Bisping and others thinking Vieira could get 3th round .. it was pretty clear who did more damage, more strikes and who didnt had any sub attempt really locked down ..

I don't really give a shit about callouts at all personally, if someone has good fights I'll wanna watch them fight anyone. If they don't have good fights I don't give a shit who they call out, I'm not gonna be excited.

@Ruhi Kad K I was specifically talking about younger less established fighters... like the one in this interview. Everybody already loves Derrick Lewis cuz he's hilarious n awesome, but why is that? @Ruhi Kad I only criticize them, cuz I see a huge missed opportunity that so many don't see. Too often early in their careers fighters see it like they are firstly athletes then fighters n its like NO... You are paid to fight, not be athletic. This is first and foremost an entertainment business, then a sport. Those RANKINGS are completely arbitrary because they don't guarantee anything regarding matchups, so I get concerned when I see young up n coming fighters like this chica make comments about higher up in the rankings... might as well have said "whoever they randomly choose that accepts the fight" Burns was 4 and just fought for the title... what does that tell you about rankings? The only thing ppl are going to remember about these fighters for often like 3 months is what they say in the minute long interview after a win... gotta have something prepared!

The feathweight fight was boring he was winning on the feet but still chose to go to the ground and struggled to do damage bad fight IQ.

@Owen Rigby Yes your right valentina has also beaten her in muay thai in the past she has her number. But I guess if joanna does some insane strentgh and conditioning she might have a shot. Also her cardio is amazing.

@ddd dsouza JJ did lack power against Valentina, but that wasn't the only reason why she lost. Valentina big sistered her not just in terms of strength but skill too, she out-struck JJ on the feet and controlled her on the ground and in the clinch. JJ was only able to get one round in the bag on the judges scorecards, which was the closest round of the fight.

@Owen Rigby Yes correct I agree with you from her fights she doesn't have ko power in her hands but she has vicious kicks also we have to consider the fact joanna lasted in that fight because of her condition and her guard on the ground was good she just lacked the power to defeat valentina same like max vs dustin both skilled equal but one has more power than the other so yea the power will play a big factor in the upcoming fight.

@ddd dsouza Valentina is pillow-fisted, she doesn't have KO power in her punches. Andrade does on the other hand, but she's not very technical with her strikes and likes to repeatedly throw hooks like Wanderlei Silva. That makes them easy to avoid with fighters who have good head movement and footwork, which is what Valentina has. Valentina's strength helps with her clinch work and grappling, not her punches. Its her kicks where she has KO power. My point was that Valentina does have great conditioning, she went the distance with JJ who has cardio for days and contrary to what Joe Rogan said looked as though she could have gone another five. Of course Andrade has great cardio too, so either of these women gassing out most likely isn't going to happen.

@Gregory McConory I would be scared too, the gap in striking between them two is bigger than the gap in wrestling. You could tell he didn't enjoy the leg kicks at all (probably because he has had knee surgeries) and Jorge's hand speed is a problem for everyone. Jorge fan or not if anyone besides Wonderboy or maybe Edwards wants to stand with him they're playing a dangerous game.

I like watching grappling and wrestling. But the judges scoring need to change in someway. Because you can have someone just get a hold of you, but not really do anything. Like this fight with Yana, the 1st round the other person got a hold of her, but not really doing anything even being in a dominant position. Yana was more active with the damage. And they're gonna give the 1st round to the lay and pray fighter.

Usman is good. But he look damn scared during the striking exchanges and he needed to get a hold of Jorge. And I'm not a Jorge fan. Lols

I thought Jorge's offense was pretty muted during the grappling exchanges in that fight. He always had good defensive grappling (also seen in the Maia fight) but I find he goes in to full defense mode a lot of the time so even though he's safe, he's still losing.
